Perguntas frequentes

How should I prepare for my tan?

We highly recommend that you moisturize and exfoliate regularly, especially the day before your appointment. We recommend our body scrub in combination with an exfoliating mitt or gloves (both available for purchase in our shop or during appointment/local pickup or to ship) for your regular exfoliating regimine. It is also ideal to complete all other beauty services prior to appointment (pedicure, manicure, blow out, massage, waxing/laser hair removal, facial, etc.). We also recommend avoiding the use of products with retinol and/or salisylic acid for at least1 week prior to your tanning session.

How long will my tan last?

This depends on several factors including your skin type, skin cycle, lifestyle, and care. It should last for the minimum of a week and has the potential to last as long a two weeks. The best thing you can do to increase the longevity of your tan is to apply our Tan Extending Lotion once a day. Also, try to avoid activities that speed up your skin's natural exfoliation process. Keep in mind that long showers/baths, hot tubs, heavy sweating, and swimming in salt water and/or chlorine all tend to dry out your skin.

Why does my face tan fade faster?

This is due to several reasons. First, facial skin is thinner than skin found on other parts of the body. The face is also more exposed to the enviroment and endures more frequent washing. In addition, makeup, anti-aging creams, astringents, etc. tend to break down the tan more quickly. We recommend our tanning facial mist for ongoing maintenance available in our shop.

Will a spray tan protect me from the sun?

Unfortunately, it does not, so please remember to wear SPF!

Can I get a spray tan if I have a sunburn or my skin is peeling?

We do not recommend getting a spray tan if skin is sunburnt or peeling. It is best to wait until the sunburn has completely faded and/or the peeling has stopped before getting a tan. Please remember wear SPF in the future!

Is sunless tanning for pregnant and breastfeeding women?

The active ingredient, DHA, has never been tested extensively on pregnant and breastfeeding women. We simply request that clients ask their doctor for an approval before they book a session.

Will I turn orange?

We customize our solutions to match your skin tone. Orange comes from over saturation with too much DHA, the active ingredient, for someone's skin tone.

Will my spray tan last longer if I don't shower?

Absolutely not! Showering help keeps your skin moisturized, so not showering will result in dehydrate skin which then creates premature and uneven fading of your tan!

How many days before an event should I tan?

You will want to tan 1-3 days before your event. For brides, I suggest tanning 2 days before the big day!

Will the tan stain my clothes, pajamas or bed sheets?

I suggest wearing long loose pants and long sleeves to sleep in the night of your tan. You may experience slight rub off from the cosmetic bronzers immediately after your tan, however, after your first shower, you should not experience any transfer to clothing. If you do experience any transfer, the tan will easily come out of your clothing in the washing machine!

What do I wear during my tanning session?

For women, we recommend bottoms only, preferably thong underwear. You may wear a top or bakini, but please keep in mind the tan lines you will have. Men are required to wear boxers, briefs or swim trunks!
